An Appliance Swap with a Side of a $5000 Sweepstakes

On Saturday, July 24, Pepco will be hosting its first ever “Appliance Swap.”  We will be collecting and safely recycling old appliances brought to the event.  The event will take place at the Home Depot, 901 Rhode Island Ave. NE.

In collaboration with the District Department of the Environment, D.C. Public Service Commission, and the Office of the People’s Counsel, Pepco will have a ton of useful information to provide customers including rebate information on the purchase of select ENERGY STAR ® appliances, conservation tips and other beneficial information for customers.

Great music will be provided by Big 100.3, great food will be provided by Chick-Fil-A and a great dessert will be provided by Rita’s.  I’m getting hungry writing about it.

As an added bonus, Pepco will draw at random the names of five D.C. residents, who will win $1000 The Home Depot gift cards to put towards the purchase of new ENERGY STAR ® appliances.  Pepco customers who live in D.C. have through July 20 to enter.  D.C. Customers can either enter via mail or online.

See you there!

‘Til the next post,

Andre
