You Could Win $10,000 in Energy Efficiency Improvements

Here’s your chance to save on home energy costs for years to come. Three homeowners in the WJLA-TV, Ch. 7, viewing area will win a free home energy makeover worth up to $10,000.

It’s the National Capital Home Energy Makeover Contest, and two of the three winners will be Pepco customers.  Pepco is one of several contest sponsors.

If you think there is nothing you can do about rising energy prices.  Think again.  The contest will show homeowners how energy-efficiency upgrades can lower energy bills and improve the overall comfort level of their home.

The improvements made to the winning homes will demonstrate the best examples of energy efficiency and may include some or all of the following:

  • Installing new heating and cooling systems
  • Sealing air leaks and duct work
  • Adding new insulation
  • Installing new lighting, appliances and water heater equipment

Once the improvements are installed, Pepco will interview the winners to learn first hand how successful the upgrades were on lowering energy bills.  Those interviews will be posted on here as well as our Facebook page, so don’t forget to check back later in the year.

So enter today online.  Contest ends next Wednesday, June 30.

Good luck,
